The Vistula River bike trail

The tourist product “The Vistula River bike trail” refers to the marked biking trail. (for more information see the website www.silesia-region.pl). Both our tourist product and the trail are named the same way. Riding a bike along the trail you can visit the most attractive places in Wisła, Ustroń, Skoczów, Ochaby Wielkie and Drogomyśl. Most of the towns and villages are situated on the longest Polish river – the Vistula River or in its neighbourhood. They are worth of visiting because 
of their beautiful natural environment and picturesque scenery. It is a two-day ride along the trail with an easy difficulty level. 

Programme: 

  • Wisła: the Czerniańskie Lake (29); the Presidential castle situated on the slope called Zadni Groń from the first half of 20th century; chapel from the beginning of 20th century; Evangelical-Augsburg church dedicated to Peter and Paul the Apostles dating from the first half of the 19th century; the Andrzej Podżorski Museum of the Beskidy Mountains; Roman-Catholic church dedicated to the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary from the latter half of 19th century; the Habsburgs’ hunting lodge from the end of the 19th century
  • Ustroń: the Jan Jarocki Museum in the town of Ustroń (the museum of metallurgy and smithery) (30); Roman-Catholic church dedicated to St. Clement from the latter half of the 18th century; „the Old Croft” the Regional Museum; Evangelical-Augsburg church dedicated to the Apostle Jacob the Elder from the first half of the 19th century along with a presbytery; Roman-Catholic church dedicated to St. Anne from the latter half of the17th century
  • Skoczów: market square with a town hall from the turn of the 18th and 19th centuries (31); fountain with a statue of Jonas called “Triton” from the latter half of the 18th century; tenements from the latter half of the 18th century and the beginning of the 19th century; the St. Jan Sarkander Parish Museum; Roman-Catholic church dedicated to the Holy Cross Finding (so-called the hospital church) from the latter half of the16th century; Roman-Catholic church dedicated to Sts. Peter and Paul the Apostles dating from the latter half of the 18th century; the Gustaw Morcinek Museum.
